A coin loan gets you money now against your club's future. It does not take anything away from your squad, and it does not stop you trading — but it does close a specific set of doors until you repay. This is all of them, in one place.
The short version
You keep playing, keep selling and keep buying from most of the market. What you lose is the ability to take coin out, and the ability to negotiate privately. The rule behind almost all of it is the same one: while you owe the platform, you cannot move value somewhere the debt cannot follow it.
What you can still do
Unaffected by an active loan
- List your players for transfer or loan, at any price the normal rules allow. Being in debt does not trap your squad — selling is how most clubs repay.
- Accept bids and loan offers from any club that does not itself have an active loan.
- Bid, buy now and take players on loan from clubs that are clear of debt.
- Buy from the Lonida pool without restriction. The pool is the platform issuing players, not a club trading, so the debt rules do not apply to it.
- Apply for free transfers and free loans from any club at all, including clubs that also have a loan. No coin moves, so there is nothing for two indebted clubs to pass between themselves.
- Swap coin, play fixtures, arrange friendlies, run your academy, and everything else outside the market.
What you cannot do
Closed until the loan is repaid
- Withdraw to an external address. Blocked outright. This is the main one — a loan cannot be taken and then moved off the platform.
- Gift more than your surplus. You can send gifts, but only from the balance above what you owe. If your debt is larger than your balance, gifting is closed entirely.
- Request a transfer directly from another club. You can still buy the same player from an open listing; what is closed is the private approach.
- Request a player on loan directly from another club, for the same reason.
- Trade with another club that also has a loan. Bids, buy-now and loan offers between two indebted clubs are refused in both directions.
- Offer a free transfer or free loan. You may apply for other clubs' free players, but you cannot give your own away — that would move value out of reach of the debt.
- Take a second loan. One at a time.
The free agent rule is not symmetrical, and that is deliberate
A club with a loan can apply for free players but cannot offer them. Applying costs nothing and gains the platform nothing to worry about. Offering is how a club would hand its most valuable players to a friend for nothing while owing coin, so that direction stays shut.
Why trading with another indebted club is blocked
The block is on the pair, never on either club alone. Two clubs that both owe the platform could otherwise pass the same coin back and forth between themselves instead of repaying, and neither debt would ever reduce.
Who can trade with whom
- You in debt, seller clearOptionalAllowed. This is the normal route back to solvency.
- You clear, seller in debtOptionalAllowed. Their debt is not your problem.
- Both in debtOptionalRefused, in both directions.
- Buying from the Lonida poolOptionalAlways allowed, whatever you owe.
- Free transfers and free loansOptionalAlways allowed to apply for, whatever either club owes.
Repaying
Repay from your wallet in the Wallet section. Everything above reopens the moment the outstanding amount reaches zero — there is no waiting period and nothing to apply for. A partial repayment reduces what you owe but does not lift the restrictions; they lift when the balance is cleared.
Selling is the fastest way out
Listing players stays fully open while you are in debt, precisely so you have a way to raise the coin. A squad player you are not picking is worth more as repayment than as cover.
