A loan is a temporary move. The player goes to another club for an agreed period and then returns. It is how you get minutes for a player you do not need right now, or cover a gap without paying a transfer fee.

Loans of players, not money

This is entirely separate from the cash loan in your wallet. The Loans tab moves footballers; the wallet loan moves LONIDA. They share a word and nothing else.

Borrowing

Requesting a player on loan

A loan request has three parts: the player, a loan fee, and a duration.

What you propose

  • Loan feeRequired
What you will pay for the loan. It may be zero, but it must be a valid, non-negative amount.
  • DurationRequired
Between 1 and 24 months. Anything outside that range is clamped into it.
  • ReasonRequired
Why you want the player. Required, and subject to a maximum length.

A zero fee is allowed, and often sensible

Loan fees can be zero. If you are offering to develop a young player who is not getting minutes, saying so in the reason is frequently more persuasive than money — the lending club benefits from the player returning improved.

Lending

Lending your own players

Incoming loan requests appear in the same tab and are approved or rejected exactly like transfer requests. While a player of yours is out on loan, they are tracked separately so you always know who is away and where.

Loans move your squad size

A player out on loan is not available to you. If your squad size or squad value changes and you have not traded anybody, an active loan is usually the reason.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the longest loan I can arrange?+
24 months. The shortest is one month.
Can I recall a player early?+
A loan is an agreement for the duration both clubs accepted, which is why the duration is worth thinking about before you propose it.
Does a loaned player still count towards my squad value?+
Your squad reflects the players available to you, so loans moving in and out are the usual explanation for squad numbers changing without a transfer.
Where do I see everything happening across the platform?+
The Market page has a Loan Moves tab showing loan activity beyond your own club.
